Self Study Class Features

All of our teachers are trained and experienced in coaching gifted students for their respective level. They are either champions in rigorous national and internatinal competitions or trained students to win those awards. See our faculty bios for details.

Monthly Checkups

We will contact families for a review of their students progress on a periodic basis. Parents are encouraged to contact us, shoudl they have questions, any time. Guidance based on work done will be provided and further services may be provided upon request.

Completion Certificate

As an appreciation of work well done students who successfully complete the course curriculum, will receive a Completion Certificate. This certificates will be available through the system and may be downloaded as a pdf.

Lecture Notes and Handouts

Each class also come with written lecture notes in addition to the lectures. The lecture notes summarize the curriculum and in math classes they also contain the in-class and homework exercises. These help students review and study offline.

Rigorous Curriculum

Star League teachers and courses are specialized in traing advanced and gifted students. As such the curriculum is prepared with this on mind. The courses are designed such that students who successfully finish the level and practice as recommended will achive the target competition goals.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting

Star League students are provided account for our online learning management system:SLOnline. Parents and students may monitor their learning through the system. Students are able to submit their homework and get graded accordingly in most clases.

Easy Access to Sponsored Events

Currently registered students are automatically registred to take part in supplementary learniong activities as they happen. The events may vary from year to year. In general they will  be mock exams, review sessions, solution lectures, or similar enrichment resources.  

Full Year Access

Each class registration automatically lasts for one full academic year (September-August), more than enough for students to study its curriculum. In case extra time is needed we grant extended access for FREE so you may take full advantage of the class material.

Homework Exercises

Based on subject and level, students are provided appropriate homework exercises. For computer science courses, it is generally the coding of the problems. In other subjects they will be supplementary problems related top the topic of the lecture.

Teacher Support

Self study class students can post their questions in the Virtual Office discussion forums. Teachers generally respond in writing in a day. They may schedule live conferences if that is necessary to effectively answer the posed question. 

Practice Exams

Each class generally include several practice exams to improve students' test taking skills. Their solutions are fully provided in writing and as a lecture as part of the course curriculum.

Recorded Lectures

Self study classes include a complete set of recorded video lectures. Student start each topic with the lecture video and then move on to exercises. Each recording is about two hours. Most classes run 12 weeks, so they have 12 lecture videos.
