MathCounts / AMC8

Problem Solving Camp

If you like to practice before the upcoming AMC 8 and MathCounts exams in January, this class will serve you well. It is also a good refresher for students who attended Star League AMC 8 summer camp.

This course is combination of topics from the subjects of Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Counting.

To register, students must be able to solve at least 15 problems at a recent AMC 8 exam.

Each class start with a brief lecture that includes example problems. Afterwards, a set of related problems appeared in AMC 8, MathCounts, or similar contests are interactively discussed and then explained by the instructor. Students are expected to study the remaining problems as homework. Solutions are provided.

Student must have completed AMC 8 Basic training by solving all of the course problems. It is expected that the student is able to solve more than 15 questions on a recent AMC 8 exam.
