A-Star Team wins ARML Local fourth year in a row

ARML Local Competition was held on April 25-26 weekend. Congratulations to Star League A-Star Air team for winning the competition! Only 6 students got perfect scores on the individual round. Congratulations to A-Star alumni students Benjamin Chen, Sujay Kazi, and Tomas Choi  for their perfect scores! Pi Math Contest Registration Available

Star League is happy to announce Π Math Contest (PMC), a math competition for elementary school students. It will be on the morning of Saturday, May 16th, 2015 in Santa Clara and Irvine. There will be individual, team rounds and a fun team countdown round. Awards will be given to top scoring students and teams. A-Star Camp to Warm-up for the USACO National Camp

Star League is organizing a free special camp in Bay Area on May 16-17 to warm-up USACO finalists for the USACO National Camp. In this condensed two-day camp, students will have the opportunity to practice and discuss former International Olympiads in Informatics problems as well as to experience the contest environment with their peers. USACO finalists will participate in the USACO National Camp between May 21-30 at Clemson University in South Carolina.


Star League hosting ARML Local

Star League is hosting ARML Local competition in Santa Clara. The contest will be offered on Sunday April 26th between 9am and 12:30pm at Magnolia Science Academy. Eligibility is USAMO/USAJMO qualification in the past. ARML Local has a round structure similar to the main ARML competition, so it is excellent preparation for the main competition.

MathCounts CA State Results

MathCounts California State Competitions took place at UCI and Stanford on March 14th and 21st, respectively. Redwood School coached by P. J. Yim won the team competition. Top four-scoring individuals able to attend the national competition are Matthew Guo, Anton Ni, Stanley Wang, and Stan Zhang. They will represent California in the MathCounts Nationals on May 8th in Boston.  Mr. Yim will coach the California State team.
